Audit of IT Project Management: Mapping Cobit 5 to PMBOK

This presentation will discuss how an IT Audit using the Cobit 5 methodology can be used to audit an IT Project Management endeavor.

We will map the relevant process groups of Cobit 5 to the 5 basic process groups of the PMBOK Guide.

These PM process groups include Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing.

We will make extensive references to ISACA’s Project Management Audit/Assurance Program .

We should leave the presentation with a basic understanding of what internal and external auditors will analyze, review, and report on in an audit of the Project Management Office and its functions.
